Amnesia is one of the world-wide largest and most well-known discotheques. It is in San Rafael, between Ibiza city and Sant Antoni de Portmany.

The club was created 1970. Over the years many famous artists arose such as Bob Marley, LED Zeppelin, David Bowie, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen or Prince.

The change to electronic dance music came at the beginning of the 90's with the break-through of House/Techno into Europe.

Today the discotheque has a capacity of over 5000 persons and is divided into two ranges: Main Room and Terrace. In the Main Room usually Trance music one plays, depending upon show in addition, Techno or House. The terrace however is limited usually to House and Electro.
